Wedding Trends That Ruled 2017

We saw many beautiful brides and grooms at Thomas Prior Hall in 2017 and loved all the unique ideas and little elegant details that made each wedding special. Here are our top picks from real weddings in 2017 that were our favourite trends for 2017.

Red Wedding Dress

We loved our brides Darina and Laura’s red wedding dresses. Such an elegant a romantic idea of having matching colour dresses in a similar style to suit each bride.

Deckle Edge Wedding Cakes

Instead of a traditional iced cake, we loved the deckled edge of the ‘nude’ cake with fresh fruit. This is ideal for couples that are less traditional, and wish for a lighter cake.

Selfie Station

We loved the idea of guest having the opportunity of capturing moments during the wedding in a more permanent way- polaroid cameras that allow you to collect the images of you special day.

DIY Sweet Station

Self-serve sweet stations are a great element of surprise and delight for all the guests, we love the real sense of nostalgia that retro sweets give the guests of the wedding.

Neon Signs

We loved the neon love sign created buy our bride’s family, the brightly light sign really popped out in the room.
